Bend, Or. The Friday and Saturday night WinterFest after parties at the Century Center will feature Keys N Krates and Buck 65.
Main stage
Friday’s Main stage, presented by Amalia’s, brings some of Oregon’s most energetic acts to WinterFest. Kicking it all off is raucous punk-rock band Larry and His Flask, followed by Portland-based MarchFourth Marching Band, featuring up to 30 costumed performers in a Fat Tuesday-style celebration that includes stilt acrobatics and dancers. Saturday’s Main stage, presented by Mt. Bachelor, features legendary hip-hop act The Coup. Led by producer and lyricist Boots Riley, the Oakland-based group has been creating critically acclaimed, politically charged music that has landed their albums on year-end top 10 lists of Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
After Parties
This year’s WinterFest music continues at 11 p.m. at the Century Center on both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night’s after party brings Toronto-based electronica act Keys N Krates, whose live sampling, instrumentation and turntable are reinventing remix. Saturday’s after party features genre-busting Buck65, whose inspirations range from Iggy Pop to William S. Burroughs. Both Friday and Saturday night’s acts promise to keep WinterFest rocking long after the sun has gone down.
